Bruce joins the annual Light of Day show. He is not on the bill, but performs a joint set with Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers, after guesting with Jesse Malin ("Broken Radio"), Willie Nile ("Heaven Help the Lonely") and Alejandro Escovedo ("Always a Friend") for their sets. After "Twist and Shout" with Sopranos actor Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy) on lead vocals, Bruce closes the set with the audience singing along on a slowed-down "Thunder Road". The Light of Day organisation supports Parkinson's disease research. Read more on www.lightofday.org.

Eyewitness accounts

Were you there? Write about it!
Tom Cantillon wrote: An amazing night of music!
The musicians all gave their best, which was evident during each set.
I have to say that Jesse Malin and his band set the place on fire. A very powerful, punk-rockin' set that was scorching. Their performance felt very Clash-like, and that's a good thing.
Nice duo with Bruce on Broken Radio.
Willie Nile, always a blast. Heaven Help the Lonely was a very powerful performance. Love his spirit and how sincere he is.
Alejandro Escovedo's acoustic performace was beautiful, mesmermizing and left the audience in awe. Always a Friend was accompanied by Bruce and beautifully done.
Bruce's set with Joey G and Houserockers was a raucous good time. Hard-driven performances of Atlantic City, Adam Raised a Cain and Darkness were definite crowd pleasers.
I was thrilled to get to hear 2 tracks from the Promise disc; One Way Street was captivating and Save My Love was terrific, definitely songs that should appear on the next tour.
Pink Cadillac, always been one of favorites and Bruce just had a blast with this bluesy version.
Promised Land and Light of Day were high energy versions and Bruce capped the night off with a touching acoustic Thunder Road, a perfect way to end a great night of music for a great cause.
See you all next year.
